Vegan Banh Flan (Vietnamese Creme Caramel)

Watch how to make it here

Banh flan, also known as Creme Caramel, is a classic Vietnamese dessert. This no-bake and foolproof vegan recipe requires minimal steps to create. The silky and smooth texture combined with the rich caramel flavor will make it a fan favorite in any household.

Notes:

  1. This recipe was tested with coconut milk, soy milk, and oat milk. I found that soy milk tasted the best with the added benefit of protein.
  2. Keep a close eye on the caramel sauce to prevent it from burning. As soon as it turns a golden amber color, remove it from the heat.
  3. Store the flan in the fridge and enjoy within 3 days.
