Scorched rice is a simple, but delicious snack that anyone can make. What I love about scorched rice is that almost every cuisine has a version of this.

1/2 cup steamed bean sprouts

2 tbsp vegan dipping fish sauce (nuoc cham chay)

Cooking Instructions

Heat up a nonstick pan (about 8”) for a few minutes. Add the rice to the pan and spoon 1-2 tbsp of water at a time to spread the rice evenly. Cover the entire pan with rice and flatten with a spoon. Cook for 10-15 minutes until crispy and golden.

Serve the crunchy rice with scallion oil, vegan dipping fish sauce, cucumbers, and bean sprouts.
